Touchpads very rarely go wrong and/or are not recognised by windows as and if they are not then its either a driver problem (which is very rare) and needs uninstalling and reinstalling through Device Manager or the touchpad is broken and needs replacing. Easwar Member Posts: 6,727 Guru. October 2021. Hi @Robin10001,
Right click on Command Prompt and click Run as Administrator. Click yes to confirm running Command Prompt as Administrator. Type bcdedit /set testsigning on and press Enter to disable Driver Signature Enforcement. Close Command Prompt. Restart your Windows machine. Install Synaptics Touchpad driver.
Go into the BIOS and enter the Main tab, then hit a CTRL-S to see if there are any additional options there. If there is one for the touchpad, set it to advanced mode. If it's not there check to make sure you have the Windows 10 version of the Elantech or Synaptics touchpad driver installed. You will have to fire up Device Manager first to see
Hold windows key and hit letter X. 2. Choose the device manager option. 3. Go with the option mice and other pointing device driver. 4. Under the title mice and other pointing device driver. 5. Right click on that option ----> Update all driver under the title mice and other pointing device driver.
I already went to Acer Partner Service Center.I just pull it out cz I can't afford having no computer, I am using it at work. Thay already reformat and reset it. still.not working. Touchpad is not showing in Bios and Settings. already installed the driver from.the website, not working. Any help how to fix this.. This is just 4 months old.
Touchpad not showing up in device manager, yes already tried the Fn /F7, re-installed driver:no fix..this is recent problem, has been working fine with Windows 10. I have read several posts on this subject. I seem to remember that unit must first discover the device (the touchpad) and THEN you install the driver, or update the driver.
1.Try to do updates on the unit by going to updates & Security>and click on Check for updates. 2.Also try by pressing Fn+F7. 3. Try BIOS default: power on the unit, but as soon as you power on the unit keep pressing the F2 key so that it take you to BIOS page. Press F9 and press Enter than press F10 and press Enter. the unit will restart.
Answers. @Pstar07 you can try check for windows update (make sure that the option receive updates update for other Microsoft product is enabled) or manually download the driver from Acer support website by putting your model number in. Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
Type Systen in Windows search. select Ststem Information and look at Bios version/date. This is the newest Bios. Download it and extract it to a New Folder on your desktop. Make sure you are plugged in and the battery is charged. Click the folder and double click the bios. Don't do anything unless told to.
Ever since the touchpad has no advanced function (scroll, pinch zoom, etc). If I change the bios setting to advanced, it does not work at all and instead of showing as a mouse in device manager it just shows as an I2C HID Device. There is also NO Touchpad driver listed on the download page for the 576G. Any idea where we can get it?
